This car was first introduced in 2004 as a small two door coupe or a four door sedan and was produced until June 2010. Because it’s not the sports vehicle, it has a standard FF layout( front engine, front wheel drive ), but there is one version designed specifically to be very fast. If you want to have one in your garage, you should look for a used Chevrolet Cobalt SS.
The used Chevrolet Cobalt can be equipped with one of four available engines, depending on the year of production and a trim level( all of them petrol units ): a 2, 2 litre inline four plant producing 145 or 148 horsepower, a 2, 2 litre inline four unit with 156 horsepower, a 2, 4 litre inline four engine producing 171 or 173 horsepower and a 2, 0 litre inline four unit producing 205 horsepower( supercharged )or 260 horsepower( turbocharged ). Thjere are also three upgrade kits available for a used Chevrolet Cobalt with supercharged engine and every kit increases power output of the car up to 260 horsepower, while the last stage offers also nitrous oxide to even further increase power of the engine. Transmission of a used Chevrolet Cobalt can be either a four speed automatic gearbox or a five speed manual one. Suspension of the car consists of independent MacPherson struts at the front and the semi independent torsion bar at the rear.
